The Best Christmas EVER
Christmas, for me, is LIFE ! I bloomin’ love it, and I’m not ashamed to say so.
If you’re a Scrooge well Bah Humbug to you! I’ll look forward to seeing you in January. If You’re like me and you love it all and want to make sure you have the Best Christmas, stick around we are about to become great pals because Mama, we’re about to plan the very best Christmas we can.
Ah Christmas….. I cannot wait, but for me it’s not just the few days of Christmas that I like. I enjoy the whole lead up in equal measure, I’m a planner and a list maker and I’ve been making notes and adding ideas to my Pinterest board for months.
I’m not ashamed to add I’ve indulged in a couple of Hallmark movies during the summer holidays, I absolutely adore a nice American Christmas movie set in a small town.
Why I want to share why it’s important to have this organised
I haven’t always been organized I’ve always loved Christmas and as soon as I left school I used to set my budget and get everyone presents. Once I’d had started my family I was always very last minute with my shopping but used to kid myself I did it for the bargains and the atmosphere.
I know now that I was beginning my journey into overwhelm.
I used to pull it off by the skin of my teeth. There was one particular year when my mental health was at it’s worst I had barely any money, no festive spirit in the run up and heartbreakingly, so the elder boys didn’t notice, I let them spend Christmas entirely with their father and spent a very quiet Christmas with Reece. My heart broke and I vowed that would never happen again.
I got the help I needed, made changes and planned and acted on those plans. We’ve enjoyed Christmas ever since. I don’t want anyone to feel they haven’t done enough for their family. I don’t want anyone to spend hours awake at night wondering how they pull off a magical Christmas for their family.
Mama, Shine this Christmas
I know it’s early, but I want to help you achieve the Best Christmas this year. Starting to prepare now will take away the stress, the money troubles and that last minute panic factor.
You can take the time to create a magical Christmas that reflects your traditions, and those you love. No matter what your budget is, if you start today, you can achieve the absolute best you can, and if it’s the best you can and filled with love YOU WILL SHINE !
Write down all the things you enjoy about Christmas now as an adult.
Make a list of all the foods you would love to eat and what you would like to wear.
Where would you like to go?
What kind of wrapping would you like to use?
What kind of decorations would you like to have?
