“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” ~ Kahlil Gibran
Living Arrows is a wonderful link up of blogs to share in the magic of childhood by sharing a moment from the week. I think this is a fantastic way of sharing the moments that possibly don’t go into the usual blog posts and also be a lovely batch of posts to look back on in years to come.
The End of Term
This school year has gone by so fast. It’s been a good school year for both boys. A year which saw D become head boy of his Grammar school and begin to consider his University future. Little has also come on so well at school, trying his best and making lots of lovely friends along the way.
As we reached the end of the school year, there were many occasions to celebrate at school. We had sports day, celebration assembly, school fair. We had play dates, school trips and even a prize Bingo to go to !
My Little mans face was priceless when we arrived at the celebration assembly. The children weren’t expecting us and were all running around playing on the park following being treat to Ice Creams.
The school celebration assembly was held in the grounds of the castle. It was a scorcher of an afternoon but the breeze flowed through the castle and I felt so lucky to live in this area , and that its so close that the school could do this for us.
Lots of Summer events to attend
We really enjoyed going to a Prize Bingo in aid of school. It was held in a lovely local hotel and as the weather was beautiful, the kids took every opportunity to run around outside. It was a fab atmosphere and although we left without a win a lot of fun and laughter was had! Who knew Bingo could be so much fun?
We have had many more play dates towards the end of term. I love that he’s embracing the chance to visit and play with is friends and as a result of this he is growing in confidence all the time.
