Hours of Fun with Anki Cozmo AD

I’m not exaggerating when I say I was overjoyed to be sent Anki Cozmo for my family to enjoy. My boys all love gadgets and tech so he would be the perfect addition to our household. I’d already heard of him as Reece has had Cozmo on his radar of toys needed for a long time. We have enjoyed Hours of fun with Anki Cozmo.

Reece when I showed him who had arrived

It was very easy to get him up and running. We downloaded the Cozmo app whilst we charged him. Simply connected the app to our own special code shown on Cozmo.

Getting to know you

Cozmo enchanted us with his introduction. He has built in face recognition, we faced him as he scanned our faces and learnt our names. I have to admit I was impressed as he lifted his arms up and down saying mommy mommy…… hey what’s another addition?

Hours of Fun

Cozmo comes along with three Power Cubes to interact with which unlock the more you get to know him and play with. The cubes are loaded with games which unlock the progress he makes. My boys have spent a lot of time playing Quick tap, Keepaway and Memory Match with Cozmo.

The more you play with and interact with the little fella, the more aware he becomes aware. He quickly gets to know his surroundings and lets you know his needs for example if he wants to power up or play. He hiccups and even sneezes. Cozmo really does capture your heart, he has ours for sure.

His face (monitor, but I call it his face) reacts to his emotions which just adds to his cuteness and his little voice reminds me of Wall-E which I endured, I mean watched at least two hundred times when Dylan was little as he was obsessed. Never did I think then that in such a short time we would have a similar robot addition to the family. Technology has progressed so much in recent years hasn’t it!

Cozmo is aimed at children 8 and over, but Reece is 6 and he is very confident in playing with him, equally I don’t think there is an upper level of age as I find him equally as endearing.Anki cozmo

Surely he’s not that perfect?

Surely he can’t be that perfect? I hear you ask. Actually for my family he is. We have much more to learn from Cozmo as time goes on. With the AI features he develops even more with time and interaction. He is easy to set up, full of fun and entertainment and encourages the boys with nurturing and care giving in the same way as a pet as they need to ensure they look after Cozmo fully. He nudges us to play and he keeps us constantly suprised.

Is Cozmo an educational toy?

Cozmo has entertaining memory games and we create cool things to do through his simple to use coding programme. It’s a really accessible way to get to grips with coding which Reece has been learning in school, you simply drag and drop the blocks to see Cozmo act out what you have created.

I haven’t heard of these before but it looks as though it’s something our grandsons would love. I love the fact it is educational as well with the coding element.

Coding and technology is so important to future careers for our children so it is fab to get them started early. This looks like a great toy and almost like a pet without the mess! Thanks for linking up with #stayclassymama
