Half Term Fun

YES !! We are here. Half Term has arrived and I could not be happier. I love, love, love it when the boys have school holidays. I get them all to myself  again.

They only get a week off for this holiday, and I really want to make the most of the time they have off.

The next holiday will be Christmas and once Halloween and Bonfire night are over, the festive season starts and it’s all about Christmas, which is wonderful, but I really do want to make the most of what Autumn has to offer first.

Autumn vibes

Autumn/Fall

I think the older I get the more and more sentimental I’m becoming. Each year I find myself falling more in love with the changing seasons, especially Autumn. I adore the cozy knitwear, the hot chocolates, comforting casseroles and the changing colours of nature.

Hygge

I love being indoors, listening to the rain beating down outside, whilst snuggled up under a fleecy throw reading a good book.

I do love Christmas and all the while I enjoy Autumn, I feel the excitement and anticipation of Christmas approaching and that just fills me with all the feels

What are we doing in Half Term?

The great thing about what I have planned is that most of what we are doing comes at little or no cost, and you know that’s what My Silly Mummy is all about….. Better living, for less Moolah!

I have made a List of things I want to do this week, and we all love a list, don’t we?

Autumn/Fall Ideas

What are your plans for half term, do let me know.

  1. We had our halt term last week, the schools in Edinburgh have just gone back. We took a mini break just along the road in East Lothian and went pumpkin picking on a farm. It was fabulous!

  2. we have half term next week and I am planning a very lazy week as my son has just stared school so I think he needs a rest. We are planning on lots of lazy days at home, a autumn walk, horse ridding lessons and maybe a trip to the cinema or soft play x

  3. I’m really looking forward to half term too. It’s the last day at school today and I’m hoping that we create lots of lovely memories this week. You’re holiday ideas are fab and I think you and your boys will have a great time

  4. We have family visiting for a few days during half term so we’ll be spending time with them, probably going for walks in the park so the young cousins can burn off some energy! x #KCACOLS

  5. That’s a fab list for Half term. We are half way through ours already boo! We have been spending time in our new garden – we now have artificial grass it’s been a huge hit. We have a chessington day planned and cinema trips. We had a movie afternoon today 🙂

  6. These are all lovely ideas for half term, slowing down and appreciating the season. You are so right, we need to appreciate what autumn has to offer and not get caught up in the whole Christmas thing too early

  7. I want to try out pumpkin carving and baking this half term: I’ve never even tasted it before! I am hoping we have a rest at the end of the week as the start is VERY busy. Have a good half term! Thanks for linking up with #stayclassymama
